PIE Background Check: Terms and Conditions

I give my permission for Pacific Intercultural Exchange to obtain a criminal background search as received from their reporting agency and/or authorized investigators, which may include arrest and conviction date as well as plea bargains and deferred adjudications. I understand that this information will be used, in part, to determine my eligibility as a volunteer or host family with this organization. I also understand that the history records search will be every year if I stay involved with the organization.

I understand that if Pacific Intercultural Exchange chooses not to extend an offer of a volunteer appointment to me based upon information received, I will be provided a copy of such information along with a summary of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I certify that all information provided on this application is true and complete. I understand that falsification or significant omissions of any information may be considered justification for non-acceptance or dismissal if discovered at a later date. Pacific Intercultural Exchange, its directors, agents, officers or employees shall not be held responsible or liable for any damages in any manner whatsoever resulting from any or all results obtained through volunteer background screening.
